Position Player/Pitcher in Challenge Mode

Is it possible to set a player to both be a position player and pitcher in challenge mode?

I drafted a player that could be great at pitcher and 3B but the game is only allowing me to play him at 3B.

I hope this isn't a fairly simple question or a waste of time because I have spent way to much time trying to figure it out

Right click him goto strategy then check 2 way player box.
