Lock a Position Change?

Is there a way to lock a players position change? Specifically I'm manually switching a pitcher from RP to a SP, but if I ask the AI or managers to set things they switch him back to an RP.

It's easy enough each time to just switch him back, but is it possible to lock that, sort of the same way you can lock players from being moved in the minors?

Thank you in advance.

In the Player Strategy there is an option to Lock the Players position or "Force Start".

Can't find "Force Start"

I can't remember if this option existed, and then was removed/altered, but I cannot find "Force Start" in the player strategy. I am able to provide a "suggested role", but cannot find "force start".

The manager must be able to ignore my suggestion perhaps? Which I don't find realistic, in real life if the GM tells the manager to play a SP as a SP, it's not up to the manager, the organization has an intended role for the player, and they'd likely have to abide by management's rules. Am I missing anything here?? Please help! I'm hoping the continued mis-use of my ace SP prospect isn't hindering his proper development as a SP.

Thanks
