Cardinals bring up Kurt Moore for emergeny start
Due to an overtaxation of its bullpen, the Cardinals were forced to use starting pitcher Dan Haren for one batter (three pitches) to complete its 5-3 win at Atlanta on Aug. 2.
Because of this, Haren has been termed as exhausted (25 percent) for Aug. 3, which was due to be his next start. This has forced to call up right-hander Kurt Moore from AAA Chandler and the demotion of outfielder So Taguchi to the Centaurs for a day. Moore is 9-4 with a 3.10 in 22 games (11 starts) this season. It will be his major league debut. |
