So I did some testing with manipulating atributes to see if I can get at least close to last years Thornton stats

First I started by testing Pass/Shot tendency in custom league for sake of faster simming. First I changed that atribute to 6:



After 5 seasons I changed to 18:



Then 6 seasons later results were as follows:

Difference was there but not that much, if anything higher Pass tendency hurts the player and High shooting accuracy seems bit irrelevant.

Then I tried to see what happens in Sandbox league with all leagues awaible turned on, I picked 10 players and changed 5x tendency to 2 and 5x to 20 and simmed 2 years
By the way I thought shooting percentage around 18 - 20 was supposed to be like well over 15% if I remember from back when I did some research, even if not I can't see how Ovechkin can have 20 same as Stamkos... that is just plain wrong





In the xcel table is sum for both years, in second year I decided to go even further and I took 2 players and did go overboard with Shooting accuracy (>30) and lovered Getting open + Screening to 9 and rised also Passing and Teamwork over 25 to see if I'll get any significant difference, I actually got really good result from Giroux in 3rd year (which I haven't included in screenshots) he was 23+60 in 77 games and 131 shots 17,6%.
