Luckenbach defeats Motown 4 games to 1 to win the Diamond League trophy! Congrats to the Armadillos!

It was a hard fought series, and closer than the final game tally indicates. Luckenbach won game one 10-7 by scoring 6 runs in the top of the 9th. They won game three 8-7 by scoring two runs in the bottom of the 8th. And they won the fifth game 6-4 with a 2-run walk off homer in the bottom of the 11th.

Just curious, how much did he cost you?

I got a Diamond Pack from a mission, and luckily pulled 99 Walter Johnson. Sold Walter for 150k PP, then put in what I thought was a stink bid for Ted Williams at 100k PP (his 7-day was 140k).

Ended up getting Ted and also Carl Hubbell for the playoffs as rentals.. don't want to keep them as they both had previous stats. Hopefully I can re-sell them at a decent price. Put up Ted on the AH for 120k/140k, so I can at least get my commission back that way if it sells.

Ted Williams had a .500 AVG and .625 OBP in the Division Series, lol!

Congrats on the Perfect Series victory! Long time coming. Hope the Vikings can nab one sometime.

Placement is pretty good for 2040. There's a strange situation in Bronze - 3 teams didn't make it in (are those the teams that were promoted?). Aside from that, everyone made an OL league for 2040.

trevwilson4 - Southside Sluggers

Diamond 381 Setup:

6 teams in the AC, 10 in the NC. Aside from that, the distribution of teams in divisions is decent. NC East and Central should be fun, with 4 OL teams in each division.

I will be tracking Diamond this season.

Those aren’t the promoted teams. Salem, Redmond and Everett are the three that moved up. Hopefully I had enough coverage with my Everett team to make OL silver. Didn’t have time to go through my friends list.

Every team except for the three listed made it into an OL league.

This is a good day to be an OL team that isn't doing collections and may have pieces to cash in on. With the new stuff out, look through your rosters and confirm the value of your players.

Sad that Steelport missed out. I had friended them with my Mets team and likewise the other way around just to make sure...guess it wasn't quite enough

Also, cannot wait to see how new pull acquisition Wee Willie Keeler does for my Patriots.
