How sad. Even though we knew it was coming it's still a shock. He was a classy guy.

This has affected me, as I got very interesting and fun emails from him, and while I didnt get to talk to him via PM's very much, I enjoyed every response I received.
Godspeed and R.I.P. Danny. You sir, will be missed. A big heart and passion has been lost, may God shelter him now that he isn't suffering any more. You sir, will be missed. We love you Danny boy.

It's really surprising how attached we can become to one another through things like a message board. I have felt a wave of grief each time I open this board since this was posted. I also remember the interactions with Danny.
I remember talking with him about 'tough' guys that talk big and having him post a pic of him as a young man in the British military acting like a tough guy along with his own self deprecating humor to accompany the photo. I miss you Danny, thanks for all the great conversations. YouTube - Andy Williams - Danny Boy

It is truly touching seeing the outpouring for Danny. Our community here in the "basement" may be small, but it is very tight knit.
I have to believe Danny would probably be a tad embarrassed reading all this and come back with some piece of self depreciating humor as he was prone to do. But I also know he would be deeply moved my the thoughts expressed in this thread as he loved our community as much as we loved him. |

It's a measure of his person and his life that so many people have honored him here and shared their memories.
May peace be with Danny's family, and here's hoping he's somewhere talking boxing with some of the legends he knew so much about ...
