New Coach Can't Set Lines/Strategy?
Replaced my coach and now the lines/tactics are greyed out and locked on me, the GM.
I'd like the Assistant to be responsible for that. Thoughts? |

If you are not the coach, you do not get to set the lines or the tactics. That's the coaches job. If you'd like to set those, be the Head Coach as well.

My problem is the opposite -- I don't want to set them, but they're locked onto me. I want to give them to the coaching staff.

Did you hire Quenneville as coach, or edit him onto the team? If it's the latter, that can cause the assistant settings to get stuck in the wrong setting in GM-only mode - I just want to make sure it's that and not some new problem.
Either way, the fix is simple enough: fire Quenneville, then hire (via right-click, not editing) a new coach, and that should put the coaching options on assistant as they should be. If you want Quenneville back after that, it should then be safe to edit him back to Calgary (do that first before getting rid of the other guy, then remove the coach you hired by editing him as well - don't fire him.) |
