Biggio or Lajoie

Just pulled a perfect Lajoie. Put him on my team and put up Cano for auction. The auto lineup likes Biggio better - is it all in the eye/avoid Ks? Lajoie seems to be rated higher in everything else including contact which I'm learning is more important. First year player so still learning what's more important but figured Nap would have been the preferred option by the AI. Also a good 70k difference in the AH!

Congrats on pulling a Perfect Nap! Not sure what level you are at? Nap should be a better fit at 2b. Biggio can play other positions if you still want him in your lineup? Of course you can sell Nap and upgrade another position if Biggio is good enough to be your starter.

I kept getting Historical Astros in packs, and finally realized I only needed to buy a couple of diamonds and some scattered cards at other levels to complete it. I thought Biggio would make a nice platooner for Cano, but he's been awesome. The funny thing, though, is that he rarely gets HBP, and he is one of the all-time leaders in that category.

Guess I forgot to have email notifications on this one didn't know you responded. Even with experienced players saying just to save up and buy the cards I want. I like doing the missions - kind of like that opening pack and collection type mindset. The funny thing is, what answered this question for me was not only that Nap seems to be the slightly better player but that he was locked by completing a mission and Biggio wasn't.

I'm happy with Nap and though I've made Diamond I can't stay there yet and it looks like I'm going to just miss promotion back to Diamond this week. Still, my team is a lot better now after completing a few missions so hopefully next week!
