LEAGUE INFORMATION

LEAGUE NAME: MRB League.lg (MRB stands for Max Retro Baseball.)

- League Format: One League, DH-rule
- 16 teams total (4 Divisions)
- 30 players on the Active Roster; 40-Man roster rule; no playoff roster.
- Scouting, Morale & Personnel are ON.
- Historical Rookies, based on Potential only (not career path).
--- Rreal Draftees are around 18 years of age. Sometimes we have international rookies older than that. Manually importing real-players to our world;
--- NCAA (18-22 years old) added to the league, 40 teams, only fictional players. Our drafts offers many possibilities for our team and a fair chance at remaining competitive in this league. Players eligible for drafts are set at age 22.
- 162-game per season
- Promotion & Relegation system in place after each season. Division 1 are for the top 4 of previous season and all the way down to division 4 has the 4 weakest W-L ratio.
- Custom playoffs: 1st of each division goes into the playoffs + 4 wildcards.
- All-star teams for everyone. We each have a chance for the World Series.
- Laid-back league with really cool General Managers.
- Solid financial system in place, allowing for everyone to be able to bid on players during the off-season or releasing some players. Still, people can't purchase everything on the free agency market.
- Minor League FA activated.
- Rule 5 Draft
- 1x AAA, 1x AA, 1x A league level.
- Roster limits are: ML 30, AAA 35, AA 35, A 40 players.

SIMULATION INFORMATION
- 2-day sim every night, 7 days a week
- 3 Seasons per real-life year (and a little more) (Our pace is "one in game year is about 3 months real-life)
- Game time is at 11:55pm on weekdays; weekends is at 9:55pm (*this is a flexible time for the sim. Otherwise, it can happen at 11:55pm.). Make sure that you are sending your team export before that time in order for me to import before sim time.

This league has been around since February 2012 (debut year was 1985). We had a "soft reboot" in 1989. We used OOTP12, OOTP14, OOTP17 and now we are using OOTP20. We are also using a custom database (GamboSpitzDB) for our rookies to enter at age 18. We are now preparing ourselves for the 2000 Draft using OOTPOU (we are starting on Sunday June 7th @ 9:55pm)

Looking for General Managers who have a passion for taking things at a much slower pace than our usual OOTP players with an attention to details like:

- Team Chemistry (personnel, players, strategies)
- Drafting 2 to 3 times per year (in-game drafts for now until I am able to fix the OOTPOU - if possible.)
- Following MiLB development in order to have a competitive team (really hard to NOT have once considering that we have a reduced amount of teams in our league).
- Managing the financial aspect of the game, keeping track on upcoming free agents and offering contract extension to current talent.
- Setting up (or not) player game or team strategy as we go (daily, weekl, monthly, or never if you rely on your coaching staff.)

Why only 16-teams? I find that it's much easier having everybody involved from one season to another and our sim pace allows us to be in the playoffs/draft mode every 3 months. We go through 3 seasons per real-life year.

Important Note regarding openings: Once you join, I allow the new GM to pick another MLB team logo. It has to be an official Major League team. I will also rename the affiliates according to the ML team picked up. It doesn't have to be National or American league specific. We are flexible.

Alright! We have 2 Important openings! Right before the big amateur draft using the OOTPOU that we are bringing back!

Awesome team IMO, had a really strong start of 1999 but struggle with some injuries and lost steam and consistency. Was a bit painful to look at this team crash and burn . The roster online is missing three players (my fault) and are going to be added back after the first sim.

Our 1999 World Series Champions! The CUBS! Right before the 1999 season, an old friend reached out and asked if he could join our league and I said "yes" and what did he do? He won it all! And he's leaving on a high note to pursue his passion and we respect him for that and it is the absolute best time for someone like you to step-in and take it where he left off.

Quick update to let you guys know that the CUBS have been taken by our latest member.

We currently have 2 OPENINGS: Chicago White Sox & Texas Rangers.

As of this writing, we have three (3) 7-day sims to go for Free Agency before we proceed to the 2002 Amateur Draft. Historical Players born in 1984 have been added to the Draft and we are still using NCAA fictional players to mix things up!

25 Rounds for our draft using OOTPOU.
