August 1st 1946 Update
The Detroit Tiger stumbled a little in July going 14-14, and 6 straight wins over the Washington Senators. Over in the National League the Fighting Phillies hold a very big lead
over second place New York, thanks a very impressive 23-8 record. Hal Newhouser is on his way to a predicted 30 game winner. A feat that has not been achieved since
Senators' Hall of Famer Dazzy Vance in 1929.

Record 50-51: 6th Place 12 GB
Ran into a buzz saw by the name of Detroit Tigers, lost 6 straight to the them in July. and scored a total of 6 runs in both series. Detroit leads the series 13-3. Catcher Joe Garagiola
is back from an injury (.417 since back). 9-19 for the month and 6-14 after AS break.

September 1st 1946 Update
Hal Gregg No Hits Senators for the Leagues' only one for this season. We are going into the last part of the season as the Tigers and Phillies are leading their leagues.

1946 Final Standings
Detroit will take on Philadelphia in the World Series. Detroit is make a repeat performance from last year while the Fightin' Phillies are making another trip, having lost to the
Washington Senators in 1922. Tigers are going for a second Championship while the Phillies are going for their 3rd..

1947 Season
The season is about to start and we will have to find out who will be in contention.The New York Yankees are going to try for another
appearance in the Post Season as they will try top repeat another WS victory. On the other side of the diamond, the Brooklyn
Dodgers are hoping too for another trip also. But other teams will have intention to disrupt all laid plans.

May 1st 1947 Update
This young season is just underway as the American League is one close race, all teams are within 2 games. Not so in the National League, the Pirates looked to jump out of the
gate to 9-1 lead on a 9 game winning streak, then promptly lose 4 in a row and saw the Brooklyn Dodgers over take first with the help of Jackie Robinson (.350 BA) and Ewell
Blackwell (4-0, 1.50 era)

Record 6-8: Tied for Last Place 2 GB
The pitching staff is off to a rocky start with 6 out of the 10 with earned run averages over 5. Bob Feller is on track to have a very productive season at 3-1, 0.77 and Warren
Spahn has a shut out on his first start back from an injury, he only appeared in 14 games last season.

June 1st 1947 Update
The St Louis Brown came out from nowhere to claim the top spot in the AL. But the New York Yankees are hot on their heels. Over in the National League, there have been 4 teams
in and out of first place. Johnny Mize (Philadelphia Athletics) needs 9 HR for #400. And Bob Feller (Washington Senators) is closing in on 200 victories.

July 1st 1947 Update
There are three very hot teams in the National League with the Braves riding a 11 game winning streak. In the American League,m the New York Yankees are in front of the the
Browns, all in part of the 20 wins during the month of June. Athletics' Johnny Mize belts his 400th HR.

Both Leagues are conducting some tight races going into the second half of the season. Pirates' Mel Ott is closing in on 500 Home Runs. Also Hank Greenberg of the Senators is
coming up on his 400th Home Run.

September 1st 1947 Update
We are coming down to the last month of the season with race in the National League is heating up as the top three teams are within 4 games of one another. In the American
League, the Yankees are enjoining a slightly better lead over St Louis. Bob Feller of the Senators won his 200th game and Halbert Simpson blasted 3 HR in a single game, he
is the first since Wally Judnich accomplished the same feat in 1943.

Final 1947 Standings
The first cross town Series between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Yankees will be back again since they won it all in 1944. Meanwhile Brooklyn was in the
series in 1945 and won it all. This will be New York's 7th appearance and Brooklyn's 8th.
