Help needed for Mac

Does anyone have a step by step instruction for how to join a league (get the files going) using a Mac? Still clueless.

Thanks!

essentially its the same for a pc.

Download the league file into your saved games folder, start ootp, load the league, check for an updated league file, manage the team and export.

The hardest part and biggest difference with a mac is finding the saved games folder. It's hidden by any Mac OS past Lion.

Check out this thread for finding your saved games folder: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...databases.html

I think I will be able to find the folder, but I don't understand the "download the file into" part. What steps does that require. Can't thank you enough for your willingness to help!

once you join a league you will be directed to a league file, usually a .zip or .tar file. Its essentially the ootp game file compressed. Click the link to donwload the file and move it into the saved games folder. Expand it there -- 99% of the time the default mac extractor will work. Make sure it is named properly: "name-of-league".lg And you are good to go.

Leagues will run their league file differently -- some with a started file, others with a recent version of the file. Just check for a new league fil once you are in and you should be good to go.
