Another soccer question
How big is the Barcelona bribery charge in Europe? In soccer?

If it's true, I imagine it could end up being like Calciopoli in Italy, something semi-related I would read about if you are unfamiliar. Some think it's much ado about nothing and/or politically motivated. The former club officers that it's connected to are highly disliked, so that isn't in Barcelona's favor. They (Josep Bartomeu, former President of club is who I'm referring to) have been arrested and accused of tax fraud and other hinky financial stuff, such as paying accounts to bash his own players online. Also is viewed as to blame for the dire financial issues leading to the loss of Messi, amongst other things
Nothing has happened to the club itself, as of yet, to my knowledge. But if it does, it will potentially be fatal |
