if you could, please zip up your .dat files (only the dat files) and send to me (you can use yousendit.com) then PM me the link. different leagues have different attributes and the program must still not be able to accomodate all different situations.

No, all I get is File (Exit is the only drop down) Options (general is the only drop down) and Help. On the right hand side is League File with a "Load" button.

thanks for sending me your files. it turns out that you have a little bit of corruption in your league files. there are 2 players (Dude Esterbrook and Jim McCormick) who have a lot of corrupted data stored in the league files. you can see this for yourself by looking at the scouting report tab for these players and seeing hundreds of bogus scouting reports, or exporting the players.csv and seeing many fields with bad numbers (e.g. 1.53E+09) for these 2 players. unfortunately, even if you "delete" these players in the game, it doesn't actually remove them from the retired.dat file.

i have modified the utility (and will post the patch in a few days) to halt so you could at least read everything up to the corruption, but I can't read past the corruption in the files.

Hey - it took 3 months, but I finally updated this utility to work with OOTP11. So now it works with both OOTP10 and OOTP11 files. It will automatically detect the version and read accordingly. I also made some other minor updates.

Cannot Start Application
- Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor

Any suggestions for me to try?

BTW: I'm using Windows XP

Please make sure you have .NET Framework 3.5 installed. It is a prerequisite.

Great app!

Disclaimer: Works great for one of my leagues...however, just loaded (or tried to load) it up on my primary solo leage, and it hangs on decoding team.dat -- tried a few times, just on't go past....any ideas? Hope it's not a corruption issue...if so, I'll have to do without, as the league is running fine in game...

I just posted a patch that fixes several issues that would prevent leagues from loading. Primarily historical leagues, but may also have fixes for some non historical leagues. Thanks to everyone who provided feedback to help diagnose the issues.
