Hitting Values between old and new versions
Hello,
I have a few questions about the newer versions of Title Bout and how they compare to the original board game. Does anyone know how the new "Hit Value" system works? In the old version, players were assigned a "Hit Value" which was the number of total 2-point punches they had out of a total of 80. Those values were either 16,32,48, 64, or 80. 16 was best because that meant they had 16 total 2-point punches and 64 3-point punches. A value of 80 meant all of their punches were 2 point punches. But in the new versions, instead of the 1-80 punch system, their 2 and 3 point punches must total 100% combined. So in the old versions of the game, Ali had a lot of 3-point punches. He had a Hit Value of 16, so 80% of his punches were 3-pointers. In Version 2.5, only 25% of his punches are 3-pointers. Why such a big difference? Surely that has to have a tremendous effect on the how he fights in the game. I've seen many fighters with big differences in hitting value between the old and newer versions. Am I missing something? Thanks! Last edited by Work The Count; 05-29-2019 at 01:10 AM. |

Yes Count, now bigger punchers will have more 3 point punches so Ali (not a big Foreman like puncher) won't have as many of those but with his CF & accuracy, he can stop a lot of people due to a volume of punches.

This is what I use for the computer version. The card game doesn't employ this system.
