I'm just putting random historical jerseys out there now, for anyone who is interested...as I think this thread has sparked an interest in historical uniforms!
The Lloydminster Meridians from the Canadian Semi-Pro Saskatchewan League...very awesome website here. I can't figure out how to produce cap files, only caps logo files. Any idea? Lastly, that "L" for the cap is identical to the Lancaster White Roses. |

Those look great, thanks. I'm glad I was able to initiate some interest in these historical jerseys. The way I've been doing caps is using No Pepper's template available at Padresfan's site. It's the 6th one down on the right on the facegen page. I suppose you probably have to have Photoshop or something similar to use it. It says it supports Gimp, which is free, but I've never used it.

I'm having a little difficult time getting the jersey textures just right...anyone have any ideas exactly which one this should be? |

This is kind of off-topic, but it's for the same league I started the thread for. I was looking for a logo to use as the Single-A league logo, and I couldn't find anything. There's already good logos that say Triple-A and Double-A, but nothing for Single-A except the individual leagues. So, I decided to make a custom one, and I ended up making two. Which one do you guys like better? Any ideas to make something better? Thanks.

The second one is pretty good. The words are a little more legible than the first. Nicely done.

Well, I didn't get a whole lot of feedback , but I think I'm going to go with the 2nd one. Also, I solved my problem with Reading looking too modern. I had initially replaced Tulsa with another team when I didn't think I was going to get their uniform, but then Tulsa turned up from No Pepper. As it turns out, they were an affiliate of the Phillies for 2 years in the 50's, so they meet my criteria, and I got rid of Reading. I also decided to just make my own Albany and Macon logos and uniforms, since I'm pretty impatient. So, if anyone else wants it, here's Albany.

And here's Macon. It doesn't match the screenshot above, but I saw a few images with the script across the front and a "swoosh" underneath it. I didn't have a font or the artistic ability to do a swoosh, but I think this looks fine.

I suppose I should even if you made yours already. Sorry for the delay.

just a guess here but perhaps the Batavia Clippers. The "C" being for Clippers? again purely a guess. What was his name? perhaps we can reference it that way.

Thanks for responding. His name was Edward Henneberg. He was born in the Bronx in 1923.
