Can you import real up to date stats for 2014 season?

Does anyone know if they're is a way to import real life stats that happened so far this season into the game? If w I anted to start my season on June 1st can I get real stats for every player leading up to that date? Just wondering.

Nope. The closest you can get a updated roster sets to account for trades and such, but the game still starts on Opening Day.

Yes you can. It's a LOT of work though. You'd have to really, really want to make it happen.

You'd have to gather all the stats from an online source, export the stats from the game, then load the exported stat files as .csv's in excel or OO, then sort the updated stats to the same format as OOTP uses, add them to the OOTP stats files, link each record line to the player id from the OOTP db and import the stats again.

You're talking about a good 10 hours or so of work, much more if you want to update milb stats.

Not to mention you'd have to start on Opening Day, sim to June without allowing any roster moves, transactions, or injuries, and THEN do all that, and THEN re-allow roster moves. That'd all be some serious dedication.

If Markus gets the MLB license then he could probably program this feature in OOTP.

You would also have to edit Standings to and edit Schedule to. If somebody did it would have start date be after Draft.
