Cleveland's 1st month in a Silver league has been a little bit rough, with the team sitting at 13-14, and having survived a 6-game losing streak.

The club is struggling offensively in every area except for stolen bases, where we rank 1st.

Defensively and pitching, Cleveland's starters and bullpen ERA is 4th in the conference, and Zone Rating is 3rd. Everything else is 6th-9th.

Michael Brantley leads the team with a .379 average, with Vizquel at .330. Joe Gordon is hitting .239, but has blasted 7 HRs.

New pitcher Sam McDowell is just 1-5 with a 5.55 ERA so far. Trevor Bauer leads the starters with a 2.59 ERA and 2-1 record. Closer Brad Hand has 6 saves so far, but a ghastly 6.48 ERA, having already blown 2 saves and lost 2 games.

The season continues to be rough for Cleveland, as they make their way through their 1st year in Silver.

The club sits at 38-43, in 4th place in the division.

2014 Michael Brantley leads the team at the plate, slashing .352/.391/.512 with 25 doubles and 6 HR, and 15 stolen bases compared to 3 time caught stealing.

Stealing bases is what the team does best as Cleveland is leading the conference at 95 so far. Lofton has 31 and Vizquel has 21, good enough for 2nd and 3rd in the conference, behind Adalberto Mondesi's 32.

The addition of Sam McDowell has not gone as-planned, as he sits at 4-8 with a 5.52 ERA. We've placed McDowell in the bullpen and have signed 1927 rookie RHP Willis Hudlin (83). Hudlin has low stuff, but high movement, and we are hoping this helps a bit.

Cleveland now sits at 2,207 PP (thanks partly to Early Wynn's Maddux on July 3).

Cleveland's first season in Silver ended with the Legends' worst record yet, at 73-89. The team majorly underachieve, with a -9 comparison to their Pythagorean Record. The team was +12 on the season in runs, going 15-32 in 1-run games. Cleveland is safely still in silver next year by 5 games.

Trevor Bauer's drop has continued, now to an 84. (We acquired him about 9 days ago when he was 92...he did help us win the Bronze Level Series at least!)

Cleveland has been having a better 2nd season at silver, hovering right around silver, with a 41-39 record. However, this is only good enough for 2nd place in the division, 10 games back. We are tied for the 2nd wildcard spot.

Offensively, the team is struggling with rankings in the 9-12 range in every category except Batting WAR (6th), stolen bases (2nd) and Base Running (3rd).

Defensively, we rank in the top 3 in runs against, starter ERA, defensive efficiency and zone rating.

Early Wynn is having a good season, going 11-5 in 16 games with a 2.82 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP.

Closer Brad Hand has 16 saves in 32 appearances, with a 0.60 ERA and only 2 earned runs in 30.0 IP.

Jim Thome is having a good year, slashing .288/.388/.536 with 19 HR and 55 RBI.

Jim Piersall leads the team in average, slashing .295/.347/.397 with 17 doubles. He's got a 3.49 Range Factor and +10.7 Zone Rating at CF.

Kenny Lofton, playing RF, is slashing .274/.341/.356 and has 35 SB.

The club just brought Jose Ramirez (92) on-board for 4,600 PP. He's replacing the struggling Carlos Santana on the active roster, and will start defensively at 3B over Travis Fryman, who is moving over to DH for the struggling Al Smith.

The Legends are 50-47 on the season, sitting 8 GB in the division and 1.5 games up in wildcard.

Pitching and defense remains the tops in the conference, while the team just struggles to score.

Jose Ramirez is hitting just .234 with 7 HR.

We added Carlos Carrasco in August. He's 4-2 with a 4.50 ERA.

Brad Hand is having a heckuva year still, with 35 saves and a 0.33 ERA.

Missed the 2028 playoffs. But now the Legends are in the 2029 Silver World Series, currently down 2 games to 0.

I'm also posting Brad Hand's 2028 line, as he was reliever of the year. Allowed 4 total runs the entire year.

The Cleveland Legends are off to a strong start in their first season in Gold, after falling short in the Silver Series last season. The team is 18-9 and leads the division by 1.5 games, on the back of a strong offensive output led by Jim Piersall (hitting .311 with 22 RBI) and Michael Brantley (hitting .305 with 5 HR and 19 RBI).

The bullpen is strong so far, sitting at 3rd in the league, while the starters are 10th.

The club is also sitting at 15,957 PP, and is hoping to make a splash with a possible additional SP, or an upgrade to Joe Gordon's 2B offensive output.
