Pitcher, Hitter or Both?
First season in our new league and I got this guy in the inag. draft....His potentials for both are through the roof but I'm not very good at developing both sides....What are your thoughts?

I guess it depends a little bit on what you have in your system, are more of your prospects pitchers or hitters? Based on just his tools he looks like he can be an unbelievable hitter, so based on that, that's what I would make him.
Also what position was he listed as in the draft? And did he have any prior stats? Kind of jealous though, I want that guy on my team |

I would put him in RF and be very happy that I did not need to worry about that position for the next 10-15 years. Great player!

One or the other. Power needs time to develop. Control needs time to develop, if it ever does.

past experience has taught me that that 4 control will never meet the 13 potential. As a pitcher, he'd be walking 4+/9IP, likely relegated to the bullpen. I'd put him in the OF, but have him pitch every once in a while
Speaking of past experience, I once drafted a catcher, in 13, who was also one hell of a pitcher. He had a power bat, but struck out a lot (he was hitting in the .220s) I had a veteran starting C, so I put him in the bullpen. he caught every 4th or 5th game and usually got 2 games in between as a setup guy. Then the veteran C turned on me. He wanted $15 million, and his stats were headed downhill. I made this guy my every day catcher, and he never pitched again.

I'm inclined to think he should be developed as an outfielder based on that control rating relative to the potential.
In 14 I had a guy I tried to develop as both. He raked it at the plate and was decent on the mound. I never got much further in that game, but I remember him coming back to earth a bit at the plate and improving only slightly at the mound. Think he got a few appearances in AAA before I quit on the game.
