Looking around the NHL league in the same game as previously, and it looks like Chris Prongers career is over. He has been diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome and out for 163 months

THATS 13 1/2 YEARS!!

EDIT - Looks like its an editor decision

GMing the Flyers, in my second season and Giroux is on the best season of his life with 40 points in 35 games and generally being an unstoppable menace on the ice...
Until...

I am redoing some things with my created league ....

I simmed a history from 1979-2013 /thus far/ ... I am actually stopping at 2014 as my rosters were originally made on FHM14, so the age will be the same ....

BUT! After some time .. I noticed teams stopped hiring Assistant coaches.....

Why? Anyone else has seen this?

Halfway through my first year in the QMJHL and playing as the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Team isn't doing too badly and we are floating around in the top 3 of the league.

We play the Chicoutimi Saguenéens for the 2nd time this year and get this result in the first period.. Bet the home crowd have left already

I've been playing a historical game with the Maple Leafs since the 1931 season, so far I've reached 2001.

The Leafs have 17 championships and last won in 1988.

Shut out king Jaques Plante amassed 146 of them over his 20 year career. While six goaltenders in totalled have passed the 100 point mark.

Even with all that great goaltending the Gretzky's could not be stopped. Wayne once scored 114 goals in a single season! He ended his career with a stat line of 1502g - 2064a - 3566pts. Meanwhile his brother Brent once lead the Tampa Bay Lightning with 28 points, who went 1-79-4 during the 92/93 NHL season.

Lemieux has been unstoppable as well, he currently sits 2nd in career points with 2578. While 5 others have currently surpassed the 2000pt plateau (Coffey, Perreault, Mikita, Dionne and Brett Hull). Jagr is currently sitting with a paltry 918pts; he's still got another 30 years in him though.

I'm trying a rebuild of Arizona, needed to do some work, and have traded away OEL + 2 2nds for Drouin and DeAngelo from Tampa. Just looking for a blueline replacement now, which may be difficult,,

I tried to set up a league in my hometown, but the player salaries don't scale with the smaller revenue from the tiny markets, so it didn't last too long. Fun while it did last, though - ended up building two different teams up into championship contenders. And gave myself chuckles at the thought of Wagga Wagga, New South Wales suddenly developing eight ice rinks.

So..

I may have done slightly better than expected..

21 games into the 2016/17 season..

Missed out on Stamkos in the Free Agent Stampede, he went to Ottawa on an $81m, 9 year contract.

Transactions for the Coyotes, few FA pickups.

The team now looks like this..

Got Drouin and DeAngelo for Ekman Larsson and 2 2nd round picks.

We're currently 4th in the NHL, scoring loads, just need to tighten up at the back, but now I've got a settled NM in, I may be better.

Scoring leaders...

Think Max and Kopitar like playing on the same line (Duclair, the RW on the line is 10+11 for 21.

Drouin Staal and Vermette is a pretty decent 2nd line, and Auston Matthews is 4+3 centreing the 3rd line.

I'll put another post on towards the end of the season.

I would look to see what the board expects of you this season from the way this is worded it sounds like a championship or playoff run at the MINIMUM.

Yep, wrote off that season, then went to work on the next one..

Got James Reimer and Jonas Hiller in to cover the Goal (ditched Mike Smith for Cody Goloubef, as a salary cap dump), Still trying to get a solid D-man in, as my D is pretty young (Mark Staal excepted), but I think my offensive corps is pretty good..

your offense is good but your D and goalies are NOT...You can find better than Reimer. Trade him and possible a low pick for someone

I've got a drafted goalie that will get into the role eventually (nice little 5 star talent ), I've just lost the 3rd of my offensive shining lights for most of a season with torn knee ligaments now, although the first one has just made his comeback.

I think John Tavares had a career season though.
