Missing league history help

I presented this question on the forums a few days ago but got no response, so I thought that I would try again because this is really bugging me, and making it impossible to enjoy my game. I like going back through the history of my league quite a bit, and its one of the main reasons I play OOTP in the first place. So you can see why this has been causing me so many problems. The first picture will be OOTP 15, and the second picture will be the same league in OOTP 16.

Also, whenever I try clicking on "nations" to see the league standings for a certain year, my game crashes

sounds like your league got corrupted in conversion. Try to re convert it? i have converted my EBL league since OOTP 13 and have not had either issue.

Nope, all of my inactive leagues, and all of my inactive teams are completely blank, and the game still crashes. Any other suggestions, I would hate to have to start over after completing 50 years of this universe

Upload the .dat files from your OOTP16 post conversion save to tech support.
OOTP has missed files in conversions for me before. I am betting...
1) The blank history is because that files did not come over in the conversion.
2) I think the second problem is either a missing file or one that was corrupted in the conversion.

Try to message Matt with OOTP. When you upload the files to tech support you need to remember the exact name you gave the file so they can find it.

thanks for your response, this is starting to become quite the hassle. Part of me wishes that I would have just stayed with OOTP 15.

Well, the good news is, there's nothing stopping you from doing it. You can reach out to Matt/Markus with your files and see if they can help, and in the mean time you can reinstall 15 and continue to enjoy your league!

Make a copy of your OOTP16 .lg folder. If you do not know how to find it post here.

In your ****.lg go to news->html->history

Do you have files here?
Open them, what do they show?

Try copying the files from that folder in OOTP15 and pasting it in OOTP 16.
I would only copy and paste from 15 into a 16 game that has not advanced a day, just in case.

Please post your results. I am not sure this will work but there is a slim chance.

sorry, I just saw your post today. I tried that, but it didn't seem to fix anything. The files have the exact same items in them.

Did you get a chance to upload to tech support. They should know where those file pull their information from. It is stored somewhere.
I have had to fix player histories by hand and know one online commish whose husband wrote a ???perl??? script that automated it for her. If it is in a .txt it is a simple copy and paste fix.
