Improved draft pick trading

The game needs a better system in place for trading draft picks. When adding a draft pick to a trade, I should be able to see all of my picks in a given round, and who each pick belonged to originally (Possibly that team's current record and/or where that pick will/is predicted to fall in the draft?). If I have 3 first round picks, I should be able to pick which one of the 3 picks I'm adding to the trade.

Also, on the draft screen, attach a "Xth overall" by each pick. So not only can I see that it's round 14, pick 33, but I can see that it's the 535th overall pick. Nothing important about this, just purely aesthetic.

Should teams be allowed to trade their compensation picks from signing free agents, as well? Maybe have this as an option?

You can't trade picks in MLB. Only NFL, NBA and NHL allow the trading of picks.

Regardless, OOTP does allow for it, and the system for doing so needs improving.

In OOTP, we have the option to allow draft pick trading. And for what it's worth, I'd like to be able to see how many picks in each round and even what number in that round they occupy when I try to trade one of them. Good idea!

I have never used this option but was planning to shortly. I am shocked it doesn't show you whose pick you are trading if you have more than 1 in that round. so its a guessing game? That seems like something that should be patched right now, not for OOTP15.

A more in depth pick trading setup would be nice though, even limiting how many picks a team can have (minimum and maximum in league rules). Personally I wouldn't allow trading of comensation picks, I don't think any league in real life allows that as it was meant for COMPENSATION for that team,

Also unless you are trading for a top 5 pick baseball is really a crapshoot, I mean how many busts are there in the first round (90% of them?) and how many non first round pick stars are there (tons). Its not like football where picks are treated like gold, what other sport can you give up a 3rd round pick for a player that is in the top 5 at their position and under 30 years old (Chicago Bears trading for Brandon Marshall last year...)

Though there are several good ideas for expansion in this post, I'd like to single out one I classify as a fix to support the most - make it possible to specify which pick you're trading if you own multiple picks in a round. Our online league has to track this information by hand as a result of this flaw.

I more or less copied this directly from my post in the OOTP14 suggestion thread on the same subject.
