I am considering buying. Here is what I like to do, as I have been playing PureSim for a couple of years. I want to start in 1978, dumping all players into the draft, and of course drafting. And at the end of each year, having the amateur draft as players come into the minors.
Also, do the MLB logos and player pictures come with the game, or do you have to download from the mods pages?

you can do all of that, plus there is an add on's central in the game to get your logo's and photos.

To expand upon Tycobbler's answer(s)....

It's relatively easy to start a league in a certain year and then have all subsequent players enter the amateur draft. As for downloading pictures and logos, almost anything you want can be found in our Mod Forums. AFAIK, up to now, Update Central is really only good for updating 2008 rosters. This may have changed, but the mod forum will really always have the most up to date information available.
