is there anyway to just focus on 1 skill with the new training system? if i want my sniper to only get better at screening or getting open? i dont like the the training system as its to much of a general training for the hole team and not individual training and i think there should be both team training and individual.also is the pa system still in where u have it both on offence and defence?

Today? By Weekend? Please, please, please the wife is away all weekend and I must have my FHM fix!

Bought this game on release and have been waiting for it to get polished, this next patch should be it!

At the risk of being a wet noodle, I'd caution folks to keep their expectations for the patch realistic. While it may well fix a number of the ills FHM has suffered from, the patch won't be the final answer. There's still a lot of work to do on this game and it will take time to get it in shape. And with all the testing in the world, we all know that it's unlikely for any patch not to have some bugs of its own. Its certainly happened often enough with OOTP that the patches needed patching! So yes, the patch is good and long overdue considering the state of the game on release, but it's just another step on the road to having a polished product.

Which is why as much as I want to buy this game, unless I can get it at a steep discount, I'll probably hold off until the next release.

Same here.

And from what I read in Jeff's recent posts is that most of this game was/will be completely recoded.

Maybe it is about time to admit that the release of the beta last March was followed by another beta in September before the real game will be released now.

And maybe it's time to throw this past year out of the window and include FHM2015 in the purchase price and calm down all that frustration that has built up in the buying customers.

Absolutely!

Jeff and Sebastian should certainly know that at this point there are some who will hate the patch no matter how good (or bad) it is and will post countless I told you so's, attacks, flames, etc, etc etc ad nauseam.

The rest of us (the relatively sane and objective) will install it, test the heck out of it and report any bugs or problems so they can be addressed.

It really sounds like the game is firmly back on the correct path and I can hopefully feel positive about investing in each new version over the coming years.

I agree with this post. I look forward to seeing how much the outline set forth will appear in this patch. I really liked how they went back to the drawing board, and set upon a focused path on what needed to be changed.

Version 1 is and was never going to be perfect. But this is the basis for future games. Patch 1.6.0 can influence many FHMs over the years to come, and I'm looking forward to it.

I think managing expectations is a good thing. This patch won't fix the game entirely nor will the game be perfect but this is a process.
