How do historical seasons work?
I see the guide stickied above that you can transfer purchases to new versions. That means I can buy the $20 everything pack and not have to ever purchase it again?
Also, are historical rookies imported every year? If I start in 1901, and have season 1902, will 1902's rookies come into the league? Or will the draft contain fictional players after the season? |

Ok, I saw the iOOTP release info and saw that rookies do indeed import. Bought all the seasons, now I'm wondering...does expansion happen automatically? Can I even add teams do to it manually? Will the 1901 Milwaukee Brewers become the St. Louis Browns on their own in 1902? Can I add the California Angels in 1961?
Also, is reserve era clause in the game? Or just free agency? Last edited by mouse001; 04-13-2013 at 01:08 AM. |

Expansion does not automatically happen. I wish it did.

How about the amateur draft? Does that happen? Does it use actual historical players?

How do ratings work for the historical seasons? I bought 1984 and the first odd thing I noticed was Keith Hernandez. 1b rating is 10. Infield range is 6. This is arguably the greatest fielding 1b in history. And he was still at the top of his game then. How is that possible?

Nolan Ryan sucks when you draft him and has no stamina. What's the point of drafting hall of famers who suck?

Well he wasn't a hall of famer the second after he was drafted. He had to develop before those 5714 strikeouts

Really? No one has ever been drafted and gone straight into the hall of fame when they are a teenager? So, that means everyone has to develop? Wow. Shocker.
