Transferring game data from iOOTP 2011 to iOOTP 2013

Hi,

I bought iOOTP 2011 a while ago and I now have a fictional season that's going on 40+ years now. I declined to buy iOOTP 2012, because the upgrades did not seem worth the $5 and I decided to wait until iOOTP 2013 came out.

So I bought iOOTP 2013 and I was wondering if there was any way I could transfer my league and game data to the new iOOTP 2013.

Note: I have a Mac running Leopard 10.5 PPC. This means that i-Funbox is not an option.

Thanks in advance.

I have a Mac intel running 10.5.8 ( can't upgrade because of an expensive peripheral).
There is an old version of Iexplorer2 for Mac PPC available at
Macroplant - Downloads
The program is good for manipulating small bits of information. However when I attempted to transfer a game from iootp 2012 it was a daunting task and I gave up.
The problem was that you had to create new folders, name them exactly as original, then using an add files command select each data file INDIVIDUALLY!
There were thousands of them in my 17 seasons game.
It would have been doable if the multiple selection command worked but it doesn't seem to on the older Mac Iexplorer2.
Hopefully there'll be an easy way to transfer these seasons someday.

i have a version of iexplorer even older than yours, but it only lets you copy data that is also available on itunes file sharing. iootp is compatible with this, but not all of the data, such as players and teams, is able to transferred. peharps this one will work.

UPDATE: My version of iPhone Explorer is the same as yours, and it only supports copying files that are also available through iTunes File Sharing.

What iOS is your iPhone/iPod on? My iPod is iOS 6.1.2, maybe having iOS 6 has something to do with it

I'm no pro at the inner workings of these machines.
I have an Mac Intel core 2 duo, not a PPC. That may be the major difference.
OS 10.5.8 on computer, IOS 5.1.1 on ipad1, itunes 10.6.3, iexplorer 2.2.1.6 which I think is different than the one compatible with PPC.
I've attached a partial view of mac explorer2. I was able to drag and drop from it to desktop, but could not drag or copy and paste back. Like I said before there are too many files that only load individually in some of those folders to use the add file command. This must be an incompatibility issue because I can select multiple files when adding to itunes.
Any Mac expert out there?

I think the fact that its Intel and a couple versions later makes a huge difference. Maybe somewhere between 2.2.1.0 and 2.2.1.6 they added the ability to transfer all files.

Or it may be that I have iOS 6 and in the new iOS 6 Apple restricted apps like iExplorer from accessing all data.

Well, this thread is of no longer use, as my new iPod that I am getting will not be recognized by my semi-old computer. If only there was an update to the game that would recognize if there was an older version of iOOTP on your device and it would copy over the data.
