My free-agent SP, who I signed to a mid-level free agent deal at the start of the season to help prop up my staff and who promptly managed to post a fairly impressive 16.62 ERA thru 3 starts before tearing his UCL and being out for the season, has just informed me on the last day of the season (still 6 months left in his rehab) that he no longer has any desire to play for the expansion team (with whom he SIGNED) who have improved from .300 last year to .450 this year and were one of the best teams in the 2nd half.

Bryant Booth, you are dead to me. Take your -0.2 WAR for 3 appearances and go play on the train tracks. I'm gonna DFA you, laugh as nobody signs you in free agency, then sign you in April, not let you pitch ever, and DFA you again. Don't cross the St. Catharines Saints you bum! And as for the Players' Union response, well hahaha I've already broken them since he was making $4500 per season and we just turned a $210,000 profit this year heh. (Gotta tweak the financials a bit...)

(I'm a bit irritated. He was penciled in as my 4th starter for next year in a 4-man rotation league...)
