In the bottom of the second, Bolling put the Braves on the board with a two run double. Adcock brought two more home with a two out double. The Braves batted around the order in the inning.

In the top of the third, Kasko put the Colt .45s on the board with an RBI single.

In the bottom of the fourth, Taussig threw Jones out at home as he was trying to score from second on an Adcock single.

Phil Ortega took the mound for the Colt .45s in the bottom of the sixth. Adcock got his RBI single this time. Mathews hit a two out three run homer. Al Cicotte took the mound for the Colt .45s. Torre greeted him with a solo home run.

After six: Milwaukee 9 Houston 1

Cicotte left the game with an injury with one out in the bottom of the seventh. Dick Drott took the mound for the Colt .45s.

In the bottom of the eighth, Aaron got his 65th RBI of the season with a run-scoring double. Al Heist, playing center field, threw Aaron out at home as he tried to score from second on a Mathews single. Torre brought Mathews home with a two out single.

In the top of the ninth, the Colt .45s loaded the bases with nobody out. Heist hit an RBI single. Chris Cannizzaro went down on strikes for the first out. Jim Pendleton then grounded into the game ending 6-4-3.

The two teams combined for 29 hits in the contest.

Final score: Milwaukee 11 Houston 2.
