iNHL Multiplayer League

Are you someone who enjoys playing the thoroughly fantastic FHM3, yet looking for more of a challenge than taking on the computer AI? Would trading and interacting with other human GMs be something that would interest you?

Well, if you're looking to take the plunge into a multi-player league then look no further than the iNHL!

Sure, we have to run things on good old FHM2, but there's plenty of cool features to our league that more than make up for that... accurately scouted live drafts, a league portal which lets you access the game environment from anywhere, a Skype chat for convenient contact with your fellow GMs, a Twitter feed for news and rumors plus a genuine buzz around an active and immersive league.

Our three first seasons have seen three different teams hoist the iCup and we're just about to start the playoffs in our fourth season, so now is a great time to join. Come on down to the forums and sign up and you'll be managing a franchise before you know it!

I find it strange that online support was dropped for FHM3. Have the devs made any comment?

Yes, they opted to concentrate on single player gameplay as that's the mode most people play, which is fair enough really.

But once you've been part of an active multi-player league and got used to the cut and thrust of dealing with human GMs it can be difficult to go back to solo-player... so hence why we're still doing our thang four seasons into the life of the iNHL

I can only echo what brentdog has said above - playing single player only gets you so far with regards to immersion and challenges. Playing against other human GMs, negotiating, building rivalries, following franchise and player storylines etc. gets so much more exciting than playing against AI. Imagine the hockey universe of FHM that you have built, only that there are some 30 others to share it with! Add to that the amazing community we have built, it feels almost as though we are getting to know each other.

I have not been part of many online leagues before, but others who are in the iNHL and have previous experience from online leagues (OOTP etc.) have said that our league is something special, mostly thanks to the community we have built. If you are interested, come down to our forum and sign up, and you will be managing your iNHL team in no time!
