2031 EBL Monthly Standings

All AL division races are basically over.
Anderson leads Madison by 1.5 games for the AL Wildcard with Atlantis & Willowbrook trailing by 4.5 games.

Brett Bremer is still the favorite for AL MVP but Chicago & Mickey Orendor are being considered as well.

Michael Corbin will probably win the AL JWA but Michael Flyntz & Draco have made a case for it also.

Alderaan has collapsed in the AL East, letting Metropolis walk to a division title.
Sony is the best team in baseball.
Ford has taken over in the NL Central and leads Corvair by 1 game with Brandywine hot on their tail.

Corvair leads Brandywine by 1 game for the NL Wildcard with 5 other teams still within striking distance.

R.P. McMurphy is in the hunt for the NL Triple Crown and is the front runner for N:L MVP.
Richard Aubuck should easily win the NL JWA.

16-12 in August, which is our best month. We played well overall especially vs the contenders not named Anderson who we went 2-4 against. But we swept Colortown to close to month out strong.
I extended both Bamm-Bamm Rubble & Sp Stuart Litchfield, which will keep them in a Warriors jersey for years to come. Litchfield made sense since there were no other better options for upcoming FA SP. i would like to make a few moves in the offseason but no major FA will be joining us in 2032. i have a few good players in the low minors that i would like to see if they can make an impact in teh ML's next season. Losing Rubble down the stretch is going to hurt us. He was having a great season, perhaps his best overall so far.

Septembers schedule is not much easier than Augusts was but since we seem to have played better vs the better teams i am hopeful that we can catch Anderson. Our only trip this year to To Kieren, which was playing .really well but have slowed down as of late, mostly due to inuries. Delgado will give us fits, of course, but they will most likely rest players since they are just waiting to see who they will play in the ALDS and since they play well vs us I'm sure they'd like to see us. Madison, Gotham City & Atlantis in the middle of the month will be tough, especially since we suck vs the Sharks. We end the month @ Gotham City. We will need some luck by then to catch Anderson.
Offensively only Juan & April really did well. i am more concerned about the amount of players that hit poorly.

Pitching side, only Billy & Benji pitched poorly. One of these two will be replaced by Toni Braxton when she comes back in early September. it was nice to see Pebbles win the AL Pitcher of the Month award.

We are not a great fielding team overall despite having 4 Gold Glove award winners in San Antonio, Heywood, Coffey & Cain.

September Call Ups. Some have appeared throughout the season.

RP Tina Jo Orban LHP Crafty lefty with Closer capability. i hope to have her in the bullpen come OD 2032.

RP Pete Sullivan RHP He has the potential to be a solid middle reliever but he just struggles at the ML level.

RP Colin Wadden RHP very similar to Sullivan but i think he has more upside.

RP Jose Fernandez RHP Jose pitched for us most of the season as a long man and got shelled one too many times for my liking. He doesnt throw very hard which goes against the type of pitcher PC John Williams likes. I am not sure if i see him as a Warrior long term.

RP Robert Bonser LHP Solid lefty who has yet to make an impact at the ML level. With Orban being higher on my depth chart this will hurt his long term pkans as a warrior.

September Call Ups:

C Doug Collier S/R good pop for a Catcher. Should be able to hit for decent average but does not have a great arm, he is also 3rd on my depth chart which hurts him.

2b Andy Bradley R/R Our #2 prospect behind Anna Kournikova. He's not quite ready to take over at 2b but could platoon with Scales next year. Problem is neither can play another position. He has great speed and defense, even better than Scales.

2b Deacon Peabody R/R One of my all time favorite players and the best team chaplain anyone could ask for. When Delgado released him i knew i had to sign him. He will see a good amount of action in September. it could be his last.

3b Jackie Wilson S/R After a great rookie year a few seasons back, Jackie has seen himself turn into a minor leaguer. He has a good OBP and is good on D but with Juan & Billy as 3B he does not have a true position anymore. He can play some SS and i have yet to give up home completely on him.

SS Perch Bluegill L/R As i said before, he is a former All Star PG with the Atlantis Dolphins and also a 2 time World Champion. He gave up his hoop dreams to play baseball and since Atlantis has Joe Parks & had Jj Wellington, he knew he would not get a shot there so i signed him. He os a scrappy player with decent speed. He needs to work on his defense but at 6'11 its hard to hit a ball over his head.

September Call Ups:

OF Curt Bauer L/L curt is taking over for the injured Bamm-Bamm but i dont plan on playing him much. He is still in my doghouse after getting kicked out of a game for arguing balls and strikes when i had one player already injured and Coffey twisted his ankle and i had to put Duncan in RF and we lost because of it. He is a good all around player that can play all 3 OF spots and has ok speed. He would be solid #4 OF if he can get his act together.

RF Willie Mays Hayes L/L He is not the player he once was but can still get the job done. He will start in Rf vs RHP. i signed him as more of a fan of his vs froma GM standpoint.

Next Series: To Kieren Bounty Hunters

3 games @ To Kieren
This is our only meeting this season.

The new look Bounty Hunters have some of the ebst young talent in the EBL. They have a ton of team speed with 2-3 players pushing 50+ SB including Eugeniu Stefan who is one of the best all around CF in the game. If he could hit for a higher average he would be better than Charles Duggleby. Stefan has led the EBL in stolen bases for the last 5 season, including this season. He has a great OBP. Eidsvag is among the better 2b. Stanford will get the job done at 1b. Them losing both Kelsey & Vallavares is the only reason why they are not competing for the division title.
