Multi-year Historical Teams in one League
Is it possible to set up a replay where you have some of the greatest WS winning teams play each other in either a tournament or a self contained season?
E.G. 27 Yanks 61 Yanks 65 Dodgers 70 Orioles 75 Reds 94 Expos!!!!!! etc Any help would be appreciated. |

Yes, you can import any team from history. It's done in league setup - edit league structure.
Create a league, any league at all, then go to league setup, edit league structure. Import the teams you want, delete the teams you don't want, create a schedule and you're good to go. |

Thanks
Appreciate it. Just wish there was an easier way to create a league like this right from the start menu.

I have attempted this in the past, and found it rather enjoyable. Always fun to see how teams compete from 1 era to another
Might tackle this again soon |

Teams Don't Import
Help please! When I try to add historical teams to a newly created league by clicking on the box, the drop down list is empty - just says select a team, but no teams are shown. What am I doing wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you need to make sure and select historical database, then select the year (ie 1927) then refresh teams list and then select (ie Yankees)
then repeat the process for each year/team |

Here is how I do it.
For this I used a Fictional league and dropped it down to 1 division per subleague 2 teams per. I got rid of all minor leagues in step 3. One you get the league up. Go to League setup - Edit League structure. Import Historical team. Select the historical database.odb located in the OOTP 14 stats folder. Select year, hit refresh, select import option, import. Repeat til you fill the league with your yearly teams, delete the fictional teams, hit generate schedule.

It might be just as fun to do the all-time execrable modern non-expansion teams: 1916 A's, 1932 Red Sox, 1935 Braves, 1937 Browns, 1941 Phillies, 1952 Pirates, 2003 Tigers, and 2004 D-Backs. That would be an interesting eight-team league of sheer ineptitude.
