Saving vs Backup
So, my one and only save got corrupted today. The first time I attempted to play out every single game in my Colorado Rockies save. It's a shame as well as I got to the end of August fighting for the NL West. While I'm extremely disappointed that my file got corrupted, I don't need any remorse (I've experienced this with the Football Manager series and have since done monthly rolling saves).
My question to you all is: How often to do you save as oppose to creating a backup? I've had at least one save get corrupted in OOTP games I've owned going back to OOTP17. Is it possible that I did something wrong? And is there a chance that eventually down the road the developers just Backup games when closing the game as opposed to just saving the game? Oh well, time to go back to my regular scheduled season simulating |

If your league gets corrupted, most of the time you can simply load back up a previous autosave file and you don't lose too much. Lukas has posted those instructions before (like here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...40&postcount=2), so as long as your autosave is set to daily/weekly/monthly, you usually won't lose too much.
