Stupid Contract Question
I know it's probably a dumb question, but if I sign a player in the middle of the season to a ML contract do I have to pay him the entire amount of the contract over the rest of the season, or do I just pay a prorated amount? I had an injury the last month of the season and with just six games left I signed a player to a $7mil contract to replace the injured player. Do I have to pay him the entire $7mil for that last week, or does the game figure out a per game salary based on his contract and give him only that amount over six games? The player I signed had been a Free Agent the entirety of the season up until I signed him so he's not getting paid by anyone else.

What Bluenoser said, and if you're negotiating a trade the box in the middle of the screen between the two teams will tell you what it does to your "available money." So you know exactly the net amount of the pro-rated salaries you're trading for and trading away.
