Please support OOTP on Steam

See the top sticky thread. The game will never be steam-only, but by voting for it to be available on Steam you help to get OOTP more customers, which means more revenue, which means more features.

Have a big feature you want? Graphics or such? Vote for OOTP and increase the chances of getting it sooner and better.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Seriously, do this. I have a friend in the industry, and he says basically getting your game on Steam is the equivalent of signing a distribution deal with Wal-mart or Costco, when previously you only sold to convenience stores. Even if you wind up having to sell your product for half the price you used to sell it for (Which won't likely happen, except for Steam Sales, which is another gravy train loaded with money), the volume of sales more than makes up for it. Especially since digital goods don't have the per unit overhead physical goods do.

Steam will get this game to a massively larger audience. Especially since it has been the exclusive home of Football Manager for a couple of years now, which is really the only other famous, if you want to call it that, game in the sports management genre.

Seriously, want more features? Then do this. For extra points, post a similar request on every single gaming board that you visit.

Let's help make OOTP better!

Pretty much this - Steam is the major leagues of PC game distribution these days. OOTP will reach a vastly wider audience, which can only do good things for the game.

I voted yes and so should you, even if you have no plans to ever buy OOTP on Steam.

This would be great for both OOTP and FHM to get the exposure on Steam.

What is Steam and what is the point of the games being on Steam?

Steam is just a way to buy games easily, and have your bought games all together in one account. If you change computers, you just log in to the service, and all your games are there, ready to download again. Patching is done automatically as well, so you never have to worry if your game is up to date.

So basically the same as Origin?

Yes, except they have a lot more games for sale. Like 100x as many as Origin.

I forgot to mention, there are summer and winter sales as well, where you can pick up good games for 5 or 10 bucks. Also, Tyler is right, the software works much better than Origin. Steam is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to online purchasing of games at this point.
