Fictional league contracts

I started a 32 team fictional team league and a lot of teams don’t have enough players under major league contracts to fill out the rosters. Each team has plenty of players but a lot of them are up with the main club come April 1st but on minor league contracts. Will they still play on the big club wth minor league contracts? If not what can I do to fix this?

If a player is on the ML roster on opening day he will be given an ML contract at league minimum.
