Adding cities to the game

If you add a city in the game is it there forever or just for the league(s) in the game it was added?

If you add it in game, it is only for that game. If you add it to the XML, it is forever.

Can you tell me if I did this right? I took your suggestion and started the city ID # higher then then the number after the end of the list.

Quote:
<CITY id="99000" name="Keensburg" pop="252" lid="0" lat="38.35" long="-87.86" abbr="KEE" />
<CITY id="99001" name="Cave-In-Rock" pop="346" lid="0" lat="37.47" long="-88.16" abbr="CIR" />
<CITY id="99002" name="Makanda" pop="561" lid="0" lat="37.61" long="-89.22" abbr="MAK" />
<CITY id="99003" name="Bonnie" pop="424" lid="0" lat="38.20" long="-88.90" abbr="BON" />
And all I do is put it at the end of the cities list for the state I'm putting them in?

I know just enough coding to screw stuff up so I know how to add stuff and write a little I just want to make sure what I wrote is right before I drop it in.

looks right.... correct, just put that at the end of the list in the state you want it to show in (and before the closing /CITIES entry that finishes up the city list for that state).

(and, as always when editing the XML file, be sure to make a backup copy of the original somewhere so you can default back to it in case you do mess something up.... I usually make a folder in the OOTP folder called "orig files" and put original copies of any file I plan to edit).
