Flavored PbP for Opening Day

I'd love to see in future versions a PbP that realizes it is opening day of a new season and makes a big deal about it. Maybe reference how the two teams did last year, reference how each player did as they are introduced at the plate, especially if any of them led the league in anything important or won any individual awards. If the player is a rookie then it would be nice if there was a remark about that. Basically asking for the same kind of thing that you see on national MLB coverage during the first week of the season or so. They almost always refer back to the previous season, remarking on how the team did, showing their final season stats instead of current stats, etc. Currently I feel kind of "ho hum" about opening day as the PbP doesn't seem to make much of a deal about it.

Maybe one other "flavoring" that would be cool is if you are watching or playing the first home game for the current World Champions if there was some PbP text about the raising of the banners, etc. Anyways, nothing important here as far as the actual sim goes, just a request for more immersive PbP.

I like this suggestion. Just to add to it a little, I'd like to see the PbP make comments about playoff implications of games played late in the season, especially when division leaders are matching up "Team A currently sitting at 1 1/2 games back in division trying to keep pace with division leading Team B." "Team C can clinch the division with a win here tonight."
