No one really has that dang 2007 72 Prince Fielder, huh? Feel like I've been looking for one to complete the Brewers missions for forever...

Almost done with the Senators collection, only 2 silvers missing that haven't shown up for a few days. The frustrating thing is that I already had those cards several times in the past

I have waited an extremely long time to be able to click this button.

150K for the Freehan, but since they fixed the last 7 glitch someone else would have bought it and that price wouldn't have cleared out for another week. Was now or never (or much much later).

I believe I do have it but haven’t been by my PT laptop in a week. Will look tonight for you.

EDIT: He is up on AH.

Finally finished the Dodgers collection thanks to a 32k 96 Snider! Anyone know what Zack Wheat sells for? I rarely see one for sale.

The Setagaya Wind-Up Birds welcome SE SP Vida Blue to their rotation. The 40k Fingers finally convinced Blue to sign.

In light of fascinating forum discussions regarding AH smarts and L7 bugs and liquidity, here's my list on what I spent on whom. (Yes, I post this even after checking the latest average prices!)

1000 : Unsung Heroes CL Darold Knowles, OAK, 1973 (47)
0499 : Unsung Heroes 2B Dick Green, OAK, 1973 (57)
0075 : Unsung Heroes C Gene Tenace, OAK, 1972 (61)
0079 : Unsung Heroes SP Ken Holtzman, OAK, 1975 (67)
pulled : All-Star CF Rick Monday, OAK, 1968 (69)
0600 : All-Star SP Blue Moon Odom, OAK, 1968 (71)
0800 : All-Star LF Joe Rudi, OAK, 1972 (75)
1400 : All-Star SS Bert Campaneris, OAK, 1968 (79)
5112 : All-Star RF Reggie Jackson, OAK, 1973 (82)
10000 : Rookie Sensation LF Mitchell Page, OAK, 1977 (82)
2999 : All-Star 3B Sal Bando, OAK, 1969 (84)
2494 : Hardware Heroes SP Mike Norris, OAK, 1980 (84)
3000 : All-Star C Gene Tenace, OAK, 1975 (86)
40001 : All-Star CL Rollie Fingers, OAK, 1976 (94)

68059 TOTAL

With a few exceptions, pretty much all of those players can be had for less than what I paid for. But I did buy a lot of these cards in the middle of October, when SE Vida Blue was going for upwards of 120k. Now he's down around 90k.

A different kind of player would flip him - and yes, that 22k profit would bring me a step closer to SP Charles Bender - but it's so hard to not just play with the shiny new toy. Besides, the Wind-Up Birds need him to join a rotation that still features two Future Legends.

nice work... recently finished that one myself (flipped the SE Blue card though as he didn't fit my theme, and the proceeds went to completing the CWS collection for Walsh, who does fit the theme).... pretty similar numbers for points spent on most of the cards, though for the diamond I got lucky and found a great deal on the 93 Blue (17K) to close it out:

Knowles (47) - 901
Green (57) - 200
Tenace (61) - 55
Holtzman (67) - 45
Monday (69) - 66
Odom (71) - 750
Rudi (75) - 600
Campaneris (79) - 1000
Jackson (82) - 4500
Page (82) - 8800
Bando (84) - 5000
Norris (84) - 1750
Tenace (86) - 6009
Blue (93) - 17000

Paid 80K for Jansen yesterday to finish off the Dodgers. Yikes. But he and Seager simply never show up and with the last 7 change there's no point in waiting.

On the bright side, it also unlocked the 79 Andruw Jones "Players from Curacao"

Mint Wheat is on the AH, but if he doesn't sell this week I might try him out next season.

I imagine he will sell pretty quickly, there are a lot of whales out there and he's rarely available. Mine sold for 875k within about half an hour, maybe a week ago

What is 96 Gehrig going for? I haven't seen one on the auction since the night before the Yankees collection came out.

100 Gehrig is stupidly priced for one of the worst historical perfect cards. I'm not even sure I want to spend 200K on him.

You are not buying Gehrig, but Ruffing and all the Yankee SE cards that go with the collection, so 96 Gehrig will not necessarily be less than the 100.

96 and 100 Gehrig are exactly the same card now and will run you around 200K. Still worth it if you have already committed to the Yanks, the card will only keep going up.

Ruffing has been fantastic for me so far. He is the best in my all-special rotation with walsh, smoltz, waddell, newhouser

This is what they're going for? Holy crap, I guess I need to be more thankful for finding the SE Randolph for a mere 30k...

What would you do?

I have 750K PP and the game is beginning to wind down.

I have a team that regularly finishes in top of division/league (125 win team now)...although my championship luck has been bad.
I really haven't done any major missions but some of the rewards have me thinking.
I like opening packs but realize its gambling.

A) Upgrade through AH which is thin lately.
B) Missions...Zack Wheat look nice. (i sell most of my cards)
C)Open over 750 packs.

Wish list is an upgrade at SS, 2B and CY/Perfect Pedro.

Thanks for the input.

I opened 150 packs and had a whopping return of about 30k in Cards.

You can do the big team collections if you want them but it will probably not be worth the time this late in the game. I'm in a similar spot. 2 million points and nothing out there to spend it on.

haha. I sold mine for 850K. Maybe the million one will sell but these big SEs always drop in price over time as more people finish the collection so I felt it best to cash in while the price is still ridiculously high and not play hardball over an extra 10%. Remember when the first perfect Griffeys sold for close to a million? He was around 250K last I checked.

Please, for the sake of your mental health, double check and make sure you have auto-sell enabled!

750 packs is an awful lot of Jon Jays and Conner Joes...
