Can't save farm team affiliation on custom game

I am trying to recreate the EIHL, NIHL in a custom game world but FM8 won't save farm team affiliations, it is just resetting to 'None'

I have tried using imported teams or created teams but it doesn't seem to work?

Can you upload that save (uploading instructions here) and I'll have a look at it? Might be something in the specific setup that's causing that.

Ah, it's because the parent league isn't the top-level league in the game; that's the only one that can have its farm affiliations edited after the initial setup.

Thanks for letting me know, that's interesting to know. I wonder if there is a way to reduce the first league value from 1.00 to prevent it being too strong or some other strategy. I was using the 1.00 league as a placeholder as the main EIHL league would be weaker.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to. I have that problem sometimes in my custom game where I have the top league at 1.00 and the second league at .93 but few players want to play in the second league. Unless, the CPU wants to sign them in which case they're more than happy to play in the league but that's a different problem.
