I have a trained up Locked player and just got a duplicate, can I sell the 1st and lock the 2nd?

I have a Mike Trout trained up in Left Field, Right Field, and First Base, and he's locked. But I just pulled another Mike Trout from a pack. Under the possibly false assumption that a trained up Mike Trout is worth more than a fresh Trout, is there some way to lock the new player to free up the trained player to sell? If so, I can't figure out the UI mechanics to do so.
