OOTP 1 download
A few years ago the original OOTP was released for free and I had it downloaded but never got it to work. I want to try again but the link to the file doesn't work and I was wondering if anyone had the file available?

I've played that version too, just thought it would be fun to go back to where it all began.

I would even pay three or four dollars for the first one if made available. It would be fun to go back in time!

Ask and you shall receive (remember, it's a DOS game, you will need an emulator to run it):
http://markus.ootpdevelopments.com/OOTP99.zip (Fun fact, the game was actually called "Out of the Park Baseball 99"... I wonder what we'll do when we get there again in 79 years...?) |

I don't think it took on that name until Studio .400 or whatever it was called was partnered with the game. I'm not well-versed on the history, but that's what rings a bell.

Season Ticket was by the 3rd or 4th version, I believe. That's where I got my start. Found it on a shelf in an EB store and have spent 10,000+ hours since doing lord knows what.

I used it for one of my favorite dynasty leagues... the All-Time All-Star Association... that was the 16 original franchises... each team was composed of its all-time best players... I created all of the player ratings manually... couldn't import them from the Baseball-Referenc Database back then... eventually all the great Negro League players were added, along with some great Japanese players like Sadaharu Oh, Japan's Babe Ruth... I played 8 seasons in the AAA, but it was wiped out when the OOTP Forums crashed with no backups... I lost all of my league writeups and recaps. I thought I had died and gone to Heaven when I found Season Ticket Baseball... it was my dream baseball game come true... a game that would keep the standings and compute all the game stats...and also be a realistic baseball game. It was my first baseball game since APBA (great board game with individual cards for each player... based on statistical probability and the roll of the dice)… we had to do the league stats by hand... and keep our own scorebooks. In the 50s when I was a teenager, we would play APBA on rainy days when we couldn't get on the diamond and play real baseball. Ah, those were the good old Golden Days of Yore. I played APBA, Strat-O-Matic and Pursue the Pennant in the 80s. I remember them well. I wonder if I still have the notebooks. Have you ever read the book Strat-O-Matic Fanatics? If you liked the tabletop baseball games, it's an absolute must!

Season Ticket 2003 was the 'in the store' version of OOTP4. OOTP has always been the name of the game sold online.
