Can I change expansion?
I have a historical league starting in 1954. I'm thinking that in either 1962 or 1969, one of the expansion teams is going to be replaced by a team in Portland, Oregon. How would I do that?

You could allow expansion to take place, and then rename one of the new teams as the Portland _____.

I think the San Diego Padres are going to become the Portland Beavers.

One thing to keep in mind is, if you have historical expansion turned on, any changes you make will simply revert back to history during the offseason. So, if you change San Diego to Portland for the 69 season, when 1970 starts, Portland will be back to being San Diego. With historical expansion on, you pretty much have to stick to the historical structure. The other option is to turn off historical expansion and simply do expansion manually. Just saw in another thread that you are using historical minors. Not sure turning off historical expansion is an option when using historical minors. Meh. Maybe I'll relocate Oakland or Tampa Bay for 2018 then.

The problem is in following season your new teams will NOT get any new players. You would have to turn ON rookies DRAFT. Then the whole league is out of whack. I have found manual expansion of historical leagues DEEPLY disappointed |
