"Save as" function for games?
Hey all - I'm new to the game, having just purchased it for the first time last weekend. This may be a dumb or obvious question to everyone, but I like tinkering with dynasties, doing things different at different points, so is there a way to essentially "save as" at certain points in time and then go back to that time whenever you want? I figure there has to be some way to do this, but in trying to fool around with saving and backups I can't seem to get it right, so I figured I'd ask here.
Thanks in advance for any responses. |

Two ways to Save As
Strictly speaking, you cannot do a "Save As". You can, however, accomplish the same thing one of two ways.
The first way is simply to make a copy of the folder. If your league is called, for example, "Test League.lg", you can go into your file viewing system and copy the whole folder then paste with a new name. You'll end up with "Copy of Test League.lg" or something similar. Then you can move forward with one or the other. The second way is to do a backup. After you make a backup, you can restore it even if you've saved the game since then. You have to restore to a different name and you'll end up with, just like above, two folders with different names/different leagues. |

Go to File (top left) and from the dropdown choose Backups > Backup Current Game. From there it will generally default to the C:\... OOTP Baseball 21\Backups folder, but you can select a different folder to save the backup, if desired.
