I love the new cards... there is so much variety to assemble teams, or at least it seems like....

My top 5 hitting cards I've seen so far

1- King Kelly
2- Tris Speaker
3- Nap Lajoie
4- Cap Anson
5- Willy Mays

On the pitching side, the exciting stuff is within the relievers... there are some amazing beats out there that have such high stuff that I think it will be the new meta over movement and certainly control.

I had a bit of PP stored up in case I was close on any collections (I wasn't), so I bought a few more packs, and this is the luckiest couple days I've had playing this game. Span of about 30 packs, picked up a perfect J.R. Richard, a live perfect Bellinger, a 99 OVR Mays, and now this.

Check it out:

(think I'm actually gonna train him to play shortstop, leave Cano at second, use Pesky as a backup infielder)

You are getting silly lucky but good for you. Now you need to show us a Perfect Title, the tools are just falling in your lap, gotta go out and make it count. Cano is really better as a platoon guy, and Pesky is an ideal backup IF (Reminds me of Snuffy who I used in the same role) so I approve of concept.

Maybe...but consider the meta for hitters has changed as well...It's hard to tell until the upper tiers start populating and you get to see what it looks like when not mashing FTP players most of the time. I am still evaluating.

My Mets team is now composed of more than 50% of actual and honorary Mets. Latest addition was a juicy 1937 Mel Ott.

So, lets see what this meta is *really* gonna be like. Open Tourney time!

Angel Fire knocks off Doha Oilers in 6, with the Tom Seaver(s) going 3-0. We get the Greenwich Time Lords next and I should be favored. It's good the be the Whale.

Time Lords fared about as well as the latest season of Dr Who and also go down in 6. On to Somerset Dolphins who are just loaded. This one looks tough.

Today was a good day. I went through 300 packs of not much. Instead of buying 300 more, I just outright bought them from others selling.

100 Roger Clemens
99 Nap Lajoie

Really happy to get them for the stretch drive to the playoffs

Season 1 update

Tough division for Belfast. Winner of my division gets home field in first round. Road to world series is through the top two teams. We must have faith.

Keep, although you didn't post his splits which would matter to me.

Sorry. Fairly even I recall.

Love the card but am big proponent of defence...and we know pitching is always good to have.
I have 100 Musial and the collection of SEs filling out OF/1B/DH.

He would be plenty fine as a LF. Don't have the calculator handy but should be 70+ at LF.

Angel fire made it to the semis in the whale tourney, lost to Antartica, who just had stacked SP. Not bad tho, last 4 of 64.

Someone just bid 1 million for Kelly, sheesh.

Well I was thinking keep but 1million is silly money for a glorified DH. I'd much rather have a 100 Mays or such, not to mention the possibility of buying a half dozen studs and calling it a day.

White Tigers just wrapped up the division in style, with a 20-4 win that netted me 3,780 on 16 achievements (2,490 of which were from Snider going 6 for 6 with 2 HRs, 5 RBIs, and 5 runs). We're now tied with Miami for the top seed, who clinched a playoff spot on the same day. Nothing particulary interesting in the packs, picked up a Bregman but Toby Harrah is better. Suppose I could use him a short in live tournaments with Rendon at third. Still don't know which way to go with the live shortstops, the gold/diamond ones I've got have a very clear inversely proportional relationship between defense and hitting. Best defender is the worst hitter, best hitter is the worst defender, and the ones in between fall on that same scale. EDIT: Nah, makes more sense to platoon Seager and Bogaerts on my live tourney rosters.

I would keep, you're not going to improve much from the 400-500k you can get for Nap... he's just so good!
