New League With All Players?

I have checked but have not found out if this can be done. I want to start a new league but use players from all era's in the draft. I have tried to start several leagues but everytime I get to the draft it is fictional players or just the random historical players. Is there a database to use that has all of the players available to draft?

Totally lost here! Thanks for any help!

I believe random might be as close as you can get short importing players by hand

So, if I create a new game (One league/2 sub-leagues 16 total teams), I can have an inaugural draft with historical players form any year if I;
1. check inaugural draft box
2. release all players
3. empty the draft pool
4. manually import all players I want in this league

I saw one thread that showed a .txt file with ID, year, team (ruthba01, 1927, pit) and said that Babe Ruth form 1927 will be placed in the Pittsburgh Pirates team in my league.

Please correct me if I am wrong on any of the above.
