I have a question regarding the 3-year range that historical player ratings are based on.
What is the default setting for Historical Exhibitions? For example, if a 1922 team takes on a 1941 team, are their current-year ratings based on a 3-year range (ex: 1921-1922-1923) or just the target year? Can that be modified in Historical Exhibition mode? Asking cos I run tournaments, and sometimes I get .... interesting results. |

It has been my experience that hitter stats will be much closer to real life than pitcher stats in historical simulations. Wins are partially luck and partially the quality of the team the pitcher plays for. ERA is partly the timing of the hits allowed and partly the quality of the defense behind the pitcher. Take those things away, and the results can diverge dramatically. Hitters carry their circumstances with them more than pitchers do.
