It is their team but at a point you need to realize when you are the one to blame for the struggles. |

The problem comes when you don't hire good advisors to aid your decision making and are unwilling to listen to them. But I don't criticize them for wanting to make the decision. There are too many football people who don't want to work for a hands on owner because they arrogantly think the owner is there just to sign the checks. As if they are the real bosses. That's part of the problem. Especially for Snyder.

People forget Snyder liked to 'hang out' with Griffin--until the knee issues ended his career. And don't forget, He insisted on drafting Haskins because that QB went to high school with Snyder's son. We'll see how this turns out. Snyder is a Trump Mini-Me in using his team ownership to enhance his wealth with no regard for the team's success. Look at all his marketing scams--the fake waiting list for tickets to a glaring not-sold out stadium being the most egregious.

Jerry being GM is not the reason for the Cowboys lack of success, but people need any excuse. There is no guarantee another GM would be any better. This is not to say I think Jerry is a great GM, he's not. But recently, and whoever is in control whether it be him or his son, they're not doing a bad job yet the team still struggles. The Cowboys lack of success is clear for anyone to see. Look at the coaches since Jimmy Johnson. One good coach, Bill Parcells. He's the reason Wade Phillips had that 2007 team, then all went to the crapper. Same with Barry Switzer. So if you want to blame Jerry for something, blame him for that. The best way I can describe the Cowboys coaches besides Parcells, and I'll have to use a line from Dennis Green, "They are who we thought they were", BUMS, all BUMS! |

Another historically bad owner was Connie Mack who twice dismantled championship squads and stayed on his managerial job way too long. Philadelphia fans responded in kind by staying away in droves thus leading to the A's departure for Kansas City giving the city to the Phillies almost by default. BTW, when the A's left town the Phils were listening to overtures from the city of Los Angeles about moving the team there.

Anyway, there are much worse owners than Kronke. Dan Snyder comes to mind. He's destroyed the Skins with his meddling. The Monforts also deserve mention. |

I would say Dan Snyder, but at least he hasn't committed the #1 sin in team owning...... moving the team.
So I'm going with (in no particular order): Art Modell Al Davis Bill Bidwill Jeffrey Loria / Expos Baseball, LP a subsidiary of Major League Baseball Bud Adams Georgia Frontiere

Here is an updated story about Snyder. It contains many links to articles I mentioned above that describe all the villainous details about that putrid piece of pigpoop:

I know we like to bash owners but let us give a shout out to owners that are planning on continuing paying their players even though legally they do not have to. Especially the NFL who plan on paying ALL players salaries they would have earned this year.
The ones that are really getting hurt are arena workers. I see Kevin Love is donating a 100 thousand for arena workers, hope others step up also. I imagine casinos and gambling sites will take a big hit. It will be interesting to see what happens to college coaches who get big incentives based on making the tourney and tourney play. Lawsuits??? |
