I mentioned this a while back and I am not sure if this is just not a big deal or what, but it bugs the heck out of me. I said previously
"Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but I have noticed when I click on a players card-players profile (pitcher or fielder) and I check out his pitching stats, it says in the top left corner right under the ootp logo "...overall batting..." I am thinking this should say "...overall pitching..." This may have already been mentioned before and if it has sorry to take up space. This would seem like an easy fix."

I would hope that this could be fixed rather easily.

Headline News Bug

Robert Weber stars with cycle. He's now the 6187th player in league history to hit for the cycle! Bertram Tibbitts was the last player to hit for the cycle, doing it 7/15/2003.

First of all, this league is only 1 year old and there is no way that 6187 players have hit for cycles.

Secondly, the league started in 2001 and is now in the first month of the 2002 season, which means that 2003 hasn’t even occurred yet.

Lastly, Berthram Tibbitts plays on a Single-A team and hasn’t even had 1 single at bat yet, ever.
I would venture to guess that the above cycle was the first in the league and that the Number Of and Date Of Last cycle were randomly generated. The reason is that the following was part of the news headlines for the next month:

Timothy Delosreyes hits for the cycle. He becomes the 6188th player in league history collect at least a single, double, triple and a homerun in a single game. On 4/29/2002, Robert Weber was the last player to hit for the cycle.

This would mean that Robert Weber was in fact the first player in the leagues history to have ever hit for a cycle. If this is the case then the program should not randomly generate fake history information since it will most likely be wrong.

One of my minor league pitchers' scouting reports looks like this:

He just is not a big league pitcher He is inconsistent and he gives up a fair number of hits.

This should be two sentences, is missing a period after the word "pitcher."

On the League Financial Report, each team has the following line item:

Broadcating Revenue

Should be:

Broadcasting Revenue

Seen in a news story about a player getting his 2000th hit, two separate errors:

'Baseball is a great game, and adding something to it's history is smething I've always wanted. What a great day!'

Suggested rewrite:

'Baseball is a great game, and adding something to its history is something I've always wanted. What a great day!'

This has been mentioned several times.

The reason I'm posting is this:

Any plans to include fixes in a new patch eventually, or was this just research for OOTP6?

I'd like to get this stuff into a patch... it's just a matter of getting the right time to nudge Markus. I'll try and organize things a bit better and nudge him again this weekend.

If a player has 4 hits in a game the PBP will say so when he comes to bat and if he has a couple of RBIs in the game it will say something like this...

Jime Thome already has 4 hitsand 2 RBI.

Missing a space.

Upon getting his 2000th hit, the news report quoted the player as saying, "Baseball is a great game, and adding something to it's history is smething I've always wanted." First it's ITS, not IT'S, and obviously SMETHING should be SOMETHING

I don't know if this has already been said, but I just saw Corey Patterson commit his "1th error at CF this year."

PBP - when a manager comes out to argue a call:

In a news story for a player hitting 3 HR in one game:

"He almost knockes the cover off the ball, resulting in three homeruns."

It should probably be "knocked", though "knocks" could possibly work.

The email text "looks like he worked out a little to intense," has two errors. It should read "looks like he worked out a little too intensely." Note the "too" and "intensely."

In the Minor League Report from the Transaction screen, one of the stock comments is "Not ready AAA" (or AA or A as the case may be). I think that should be "Not ready for AAA."

The one that always bothers me:

In play by play:

"he looks over to second, forcing the runner back"

There should be a space after the comma.

Haven't read through the whole thread, so if this has already been mentioned, I apologize.

"He has doubled in his first at bat today."

should be

"He doubled in his first at bat today."
