Help needed to expand Historical League
I'm trying to make a historical league for a small group. We'll be starting during the Original 6 era and playing the league as it expands. One issue we're seeing is that historical leagues have a pretty barebones minor league setup.
My request is for someone to help us expand a historical league starting in the Original 6 to include current-day leagues outside of the NHL. The NHL would follow its historical evolution as usual but every other league is set up as it is in the present. Those leagues could be filled with fictional or ghost players at first and eventually be filled with real life players when they spawn. We have some concerns about how development would be in a normal historical game or custom game with their barebones minor league setup. If we don't sign a player, do they develop normally? There won't be any major junior or Euro leagues for them to play in. If we have to sign every player we want to realistically develop, won't it overwhelm our minor league system? Any help would be appreciated! |

Players will develop normally, the development system keeps players on nonplayable teams (or not on teams at all) on a normal developmental path.
It's not possible to add additional leagues to a historical game. |
