What is the earliest year you can start a historical game with Negro league players?

What is the earliest year you can start a game with Negro league players? I would like to run a historical league where I can bring in Negro league players. In 2018 it seemed like you had to start in 1920 or 1921. Is that still the case?

As long as you do not have the color barrier on, some will trickle through. I will have to look and see when they started to show up, I am in 1923 now and been going since 1871.

under league settings->Stats and AI -- set historic year to first year those leagues were around... you should be able to play a historic replay in any year that way.

there may be other workaround necessary, but should be possible to do, if you want it to be "2018". may not even need to the historic year... just a .txt import list with all the players and year you want them from. can make the new players added to league each year match up with history.

if not an easier way... get creative.

buckles on the caps was a big fashion trend .... but the pilgrims are from a different century. ~130 years difference? roughly.

could have been a friendly game of pilgrims vs. indians at first thanksgiving get together... bet those indians wouldn't have saved the pilgrims' lives had they known what was to come.
