Illegal # on roster - Claimed closed?
I have a league, I'm the only human. On opening day of the 10th season a computer controlled team, Cleveland, has an illegal number of players (3). I found the closed case for this problem although this wasn't a quickstart. I followed the directions in the response to that thread and it didn't help. I then went and changed to commisioner and moved Cleveland players around and filled the lowest level league with fictional players checked all the lineups and rotations tried to sim and same problem. Then hit AI stup organization, still won't sim, same error message? I installed the newest patch before running ootp, the league date was opening day in my last save. I opened ootp and made my roster moves to start the season and thats where I now set.

Are you using version 9.2.13? If not, please upgrade and give that a try.
Is Cleveland a major league team? If it is a minor league team, you would just need to enable ghost players. |

Yes Cleveland is a major league team and is 25/25 roster. I stated playing tuesday after a few weeks off and noticed the new patch (9.2.1.3). I waited until wednesday to patch it before I loaded my league. Which was at opening day(4/1). When I went to sim I got the error. I went to commish and moved the rosters used auto fill for the lowest minor team. I then let AI fill lineups and rosters. The save must have gotten corrupt some how maybe because I was at opening day. The rosters seem fine I'm thinking a flag was set before patching and the game can't get around it. Its only 10 years in, I don't mind restarting, but I thought you might want to figure it out. Otherwise no problem here. I never back up as I've never had a problem before, and I know better. Thanks

So Cleveland has 25 of 25 roster spots filled but still gives you an error message? Could you try enabling ghost players in all of your minor leagues just be sure?

That did it. All of Cleveland's rosters were full as were thier minor league teams. The lowest only had 21 but the linups and rotations were full.
Oh Well, We're running again Thanks |
